Cook Aide
Omak Head Start/Early Head Start
OCCDA has 50 year legacy as an early learning program that strives to make a difference in our community by supporting children and families. As a staff member you will have opportunities to grow as an individual and professionally and support our philosophy of parents as the primary educator of their children.
About the position: Ensures timely and safe meal preparation according to menus and meal plans for center children. Ensures all food safety and pertinent standards are followed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with OCCDA Cook Aide job duties. Trains, volunteers, and supports personnel as needed on proper kitchen procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of food and safety standards
- One year of cooking experience for groups of 25 people or more, preferred
- Valid WA State Driver’s License
- Bilingual/Spanish, preferred
Details:
- 35 hours a week for 40 weeks per year
- Wage is $17.45 per hour for qualified applicant
