Job Title: Dock Worker

Location: Okarche Grain & Feed

Reports to: Feed Center Manager

Position Summary:

A Dock Worker is responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing inventory for the Feed Center. The primary work includes driving equipment such as forklift, trucks, and skid steer. Assist with the execution of the daily operations, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by the Grain and Feed Center Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Dock Worker performs a wide range of duties within the feed center, including but not limited to the following:

· Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and skid steer safely and efficiently. Training is provided for equipment. (must be at least 18 years old).

· Assist with stocking all deliveries coming in and out of the store as well as help with sales duties on the floor.

· Unload and load trucks in a safe manner and load feed into customers vehicles.

· Receive, stock and rotate products.

· Daily maintenance of the store appearance which may include stocking product, placing items into back stock areas, recovery and assembly of products, as well as the general cleanliness of the store.

· Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, lawn & garden, hardware, and livestock.

· Exhibit an ability to get along with others and contributes to a positive working environment for all team members.

· Practicing punctual and reliable attendance.

· Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be authorized to work in the United States.

· High school or equivalent (preferred).

· Team player mentality.

· Ability to read and write.

Physical Requirements:

· Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently.

· Ability to lift, carry and load 60 pounds (at minimum) weight requirements.

· Ability to operate fork lift and other equipment safely and efficiently.

Compensation:

· “Trainee” period (Up to 90 days)

· $13.00/hour

Work Schedule:

· Must be able to work Monday – Saturday (Days of week may vary)

· Hours: 40 hrs. per week

· General schedule: 4 days – 9 hours / Saturdays – 4 hours

· Days per week: 5 - 6

· Must be able to work overtime in order to complete store orders when necessary.
