Maintenance Berlin - Maintenance Mechanic

Immediate Opening: Maintenance / Mechanic, First Shift - 7:00 am – 3:30 pm in our New Britain, CT location
Job Requirements:
Highly disciplined experienced maintenance technician/mechanic in a fast-paced production facility.
High School and/or Trade School graduate or equivalent training and experience required.
Must have experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various pieces of equipment & controls.
Basic computer skills are necessary
Must be able to read, speak, and write English
Experience with 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC, safety circuits, photo eyes, Motor Control Circuits and VFD Controllers.
Experience with powered roller conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
PLC experience is a plus, programming not required
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Must be able to diagnoses malfunctions and troubleshoot systems to determine the required repair(s). This may include dismantling, replacing, and adjustments to current assembles.
Perform root cause failure analysis to eliminate repeat occurrences on maintenance issues.
Devises methods of altering machinery and equipment to improve operating characteristics within the principles of Continuous Improvement. May perform electronic maintenance, machine repair, and plumbing duties
Maintain, repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to CNC machinery, performing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work of all equipment on site.
Performs grounds and buildings general maintenance, painting, or performing carpentry duties on an as necessary basis.
maintenance assignments may require skills in carpentry, plumbing, and repair of machinery, mechanical equipment, electrical circuits, and appliances.
Able to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 40 pounds
Must be able to work extended hours and Saturdays as business needs arise
Follow company and OSHA safety policies & procedures.
Work closely with other maintenance mechanics to anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
