Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manufacturing Quality Control Lead to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role will involve leading quality control efforts across all departments, implementing quality control procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide guidance to the quality control team.
- Oversee quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Familiarity with welding quality records and documentation.
- Knowledge of industry / ASME / AWS requirements for weld inspection and documentation.
- Document inspection results and prepare reports for management.
- Identify defects or deviations and communicate findings to production teams.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain quality control records and reports.
- Lead internal audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate’s degree in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing quality control environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or other industry-specific regulations is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and data entry for documentation purposes.
