Agri-Civic Center Manager - Full-time - $28.18/Hourly
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This is responsible work involving overall management of the county Agri-civic Center and related activities. Develops, directs and manages the operation and maintenance of year-round programs involving a variety of special community, cultural, or other special events. Work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant County Administrator and is reviewed through meetings, reports, and evaluation of results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and administers a broad and diversified schedule of activities and events to meet public needs, oversees the organization and conduct of community programs and activities including management of space, facilities and related administrative services.
- Oversees management of the county Agri-civic Center facility and associated projects. Provides leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-range marketing and operating plans.
- Manages and supervises operations to achieve goals within available resources, plans and organizes events, reviews activities and directs changes as needed.
- Promotes interest in the facility and associated programs through publicity, program development, community groups, public contacts, and special interest groups. Makes presentations to boards, civic groups, and the general public.
- Assures that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget; performs cost control activities; monitors revenues and expenditures to assure sound fiscal control; prepares an annual budget; assures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, facilities, and time.
- Performs a variety of responsible duties and activities related to the development of special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Maintains good working relationships and coordination with other county departments, members of the general public and federal, state and local agencies, officers and officials
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- (2) Years business and/or marketing experience.
- Community relations experience

Valid Florida Driver's License
