Job description
We are looking for a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our team and provide support to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders, as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by this population. The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist will provide support, advocacy, and education to individuals in order to promote recovery and help them reach their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and advocacy to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Facilitate peer support groups and other activities that promote recovery.
- Assist individuals in developing their own recovery plans.
- Provide education and resources to individuals about available services and supports.
- Advocate for individuals in the community to ensure their rights are respected.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when needed.
- Help individuals identify their strengths, abilities, and goals.
- Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
