Position:
To ensure effective support and control over Technical Operations critical systems which include equipment and training within the operational department.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
- 3-5 years blood center experience
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to improve processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to handle multiple projects under tight time constraints
- Technical writing experience preferred
- Excel and Word experience required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with effectiveness checks from Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action implementation for Technical Operations
- Assist the product failures chairman with the investigation paperwork of all product failures and attend monthly product failure meetings
- Assist with validation projects in Technical Operations
- Execute validations for Technical Operations support group
- Support areas with SOP writing and review as needed
Equipment Control
- Calibrate equipment as needed
- Rotating On-call
- Travel to sub-centers for equipment calibration
- Use iMaint software to keep an exact schedule of maintenance, and QC for Product Operations, Testing Lab, and QC Lab. Track location of equipment and ensure repairs and routine cleaning of equipment are performed.
- Assist in initial validation of new storage devices through the Central Monitoring System, assist in review of temperatures for storage devices and areas, investigate temperature failure issues and assist in resolution. Travel may be required.
- Perform preventative maintenance as deemed appropriate for CMS and other devices
- Investigate issues and events related to component manufacturing
- Print and distribute iMaint Work Orders through testing lab. Clear completed Work Orders and track open orders to ensure that they are completed
- Print and review monthly and bi-monthly graphs
- Assist sub-centers and other departments with all CMS related issues
- Review annual CMS calibration records system wide
- Schedule all CMS related issues with ABS or Amega
- Perform weekly test alarms for Product Operations
- Perform quarterly alarm checks for Product Operations as well as Testing areas
Training
- Generate training reports as needed
- Track Continuing Education for technical operations
- Develop and maintain a training process
- Track and ensure all training is completed within established timelines
- Verify training list accuracy
- Coordinate and track all training records for technical operations to document control
- Coordinate and assist all training activity with each department lead trainer in technical operations
- Establish and ensure annual competency for each department within technical operations
- Perform direct observations
- Coordinate new hire training
- Perform technical writing as needed
Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
