Responsible for working in a team structure with an RN Case Manager to effect overall case coordination with emphasis on psychosocial assessments and interventions. Responsible for ongoing assessment of patient needs and coordination of the delivery of care through various oncology teams such as FC staff and Nurse Navigators to minimize obstacles to receiving outpatient oncology care. This position is highly collaborative with physicians and other health care teams to ensure the patient and family follow medical recommendations and provide services planned within their capacity. Oversees and supports other Social Worker’s and support staff. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (OCSRI) Compliance Program include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred. LCSW or LCSW eligibility required. One year of previous medical social work experience, oncology preferred. Must be detailed orientated.
