Part-Time Bartender/Barista

*Job Summary*

As a Barista/Bartender at our Museum Store Bar, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee and alcoholic beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

*Responsibilities*

· Welcoming visitors, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions.

· Accepting orders and payments

· Grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to visitors.

· Serving prepared foods such as sandwiches or baked goods.

· Serve beverages responsibly with visitor's best interest in mind.

· Provide prompt, accurate report of all income received during shift.

· Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, and presentation techniques to improve quality

· Receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantity.

· Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.

· Keep equipment operation by following operational instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.

· Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.

· Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance and/or safety.

· Communicate visitor feedback to managers and recommend new items.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

*Experience*

- Previous experience working in a café or similar setting is preferred

- Knowledge of coffee preparation and mixology techniques is a plus

- Ability to obtain an alcohol-server license

- Strong customer service skills are essential

- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour
