- Assists Director of HVAC
- Supervises and directs building automation control formans and technicians
- Provides training and technical support for building automation and HVAC technicians Performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of the Building Automation Systems routinely as well as on an emergency basis
- Conducts end to end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects
- Uses configuration software and/or other tools to troubleshoot or upgrade system performance • Uses schematic or logic diagrams to diagnose system/equipment malfunctions
- Supervises the maintenance, repairs and installation of instrumentation devices including controllers, transmitters, signal conditioners and related equipment
- Develops and tests software programs related to BAS systems
- Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned projects
- Recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or repairs
- Assists in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system • Adheres to safety standards and provides safety awareness to site staff
- Liaison HVAC Field Technicians and contractors to provide necessary technical assistance • Reports problems or changes to management
- Interprets blueprints, schematics, and other specifications pertaining to facilities and projects • Assists with project oversight by reviewing architectural drawings/project specifications and making appropriate recommendations
- Assists with the oversight of energy management contract/contractors
- Provides training to staff on building control systems operations
- Ensures work performed on all projects is done in compliance with plans and specifications • Stays updated on current industry knowledge and BAS products
- Evaluates building systems for proper operation and recommends repairs and/or renovations that are necessary to continue effective operations of facilities in conserving energy costs.
- Performs physical plant engineering duties.
- Provides input and recommendations for Capital Improvement Projects to reduce energy cost
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Business Architecture or Engineering Technologies or related field.
- Five (5) years of direct experience in building automation systems, preferably in a large public school or government entity.
- Supervisory experience.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
- Understand and recommend energy conservation techniques for implementation.
- Extensive database, building automation, and controls experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications preferred.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- Possession of a valid operator's driver's license and acceptable driving record as determined to meet district motor vehicle insurance coverage requirements
- Possession of working cell phone
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer.
- Able to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels, outdoors and on the telephone.

Manager of Billing Automation Systems
Position Summary:
Responsible for the supervising/training of all BAS Forman, Technicians, and oversee all BAS systems for the OKCPS district buildings. Develops, maintains and manages BAS HVAC controls. Evaluates and develops potential projects or activities to lower utility costs. Manages energy conservation projects. Provides regular reports as to the overall effectiveness of the energy management program. Participates in or leads energy management and sustainability training sessions.
