Preferred Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;
- OR an equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
- Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered
- This position provides professional training as a representative of the DDS State Office. It is assigned responsibilities involving the training and professional development of employees and contracted agency staff in various required topics or skills as outlined by policy.
- This position conducts virtual and in-person training sessions to provide the most updated information about program policies, procedures, etc., and to communicate relevant changes in training requirements.
- It also ensures proper interpretation and consistent application of policy, rules, and regulations.
- This position is a member of the risk mitigation and prevent unit and will perform state and federally required mortality reviews, participate on the DDS critical incident committee, review and follow up on assigned categories of incident reports, assist with data collection and trend analysis related to incident reports, and provide training on the incident management process to case management and providers, as well as perform other duties as assigned.
