About us:

Come grow with us! The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) located in Vinita, OK is a 24 hour/365 day secure inpatient forensic facility that provides jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma. Currently, OFC has 268 beds for consumers who have been found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. OFC is expanding with construction scheduled to be completed in June 2025 adding an additional 84 beds. When completed, OFC will have a total of 352 beds to house consumers.

About the Position:

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, plans, organizes, directs, and monitors the overall operations of facility departments to include Custodial Services/Laundry, Purchasing/Finance, Food Service, and Supply. Duties include but not limited to: Acts as facility fixed asset manager and serves as liaison to DMHSAS Central Office. Maintains record of asset acquisition, transfer, and retirement. Coordinates physical accounting of assets and ensures compliance with State statutes when disposing of State property. Completes fiscal year end reporting. Negotiates pricing, prepares invitation for bid specifications, solicit and evaluates bids and monitors contracts. Serves as liaison between facility departments, vendors, DMHSAS Central Office, and Central Purchasing.

Job Type/Salary:

• Open/Close dates: 1/30/2025- until filled

• Full-time

• Hourly rate: $32.69, Annual: $68,000.00

• Primary Working Hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

• FLSA Status: Exempt

• Primary Work Location/Department: Oklahoma Forensic Center, Vinita

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Education and Experience required at this level consists of a Master’s degree and one year of professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education. Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s degree.

Special Requirements:

• Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

• Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated

with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
