About the Position: Join Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center (JTCMHC) in Lawton, OK team as an Employee Trainer! This position is assigned the responsibility for all facets of inpatient employee training for JTCMHC employees. The individual selected must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to teach and coach groups of people new to the field. The person selected for this position will be responsible for training Therapeutic Options, CPR, First Aid, new employee orientation topics and other trainings as needed. Must have the ability to organize, collect, and analyze data. Must exhibit and maintain professional boundaries with coworkers as this role serves as an authority on employee conduct. This position may be required to provide support and trainings to direct care staff outside of the 8-5 schedule, including occasional evening and weekend duties. This position serves as coach, trainer and mentor to direct care staff and may at times provide support to staff and consumers, on the units and during off campus consumer appointments.
Job Type/Salary:
This is a full-time, shift-position. Shifts are 8 hours in duration.
Annual Salary is $37,627.20/yr $18.09/hr
Primary Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 pm - 4:30 am
The FLSA Status is Non-Exempt for this Position.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting four (4) years of relevant experience for the required education and certified as a Consumer Recovery Specialist.
Special Requirements:
Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
Willing to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with position, e.g., attend training etc. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
