Northwest Center for Behavioral Health in Woodward is currently recruiting for Recovery Support Specialists to work in our 24/7 Outpatient office. Woodward Outpatient Clinic is extending its hours and will now be open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The goal is to eliminate barriers the community may face when trying to access mental health and substance abuse services. With this program, we will be able to provide in-person access to services clients normally access only during normal business hours.
About the Position: The Recovery Support Specialist serves as an advocate for, provides information to and gives peer support for consumers in an outpatient setting. This position also performs a wide range of tasks to assist consumers in regaining control of their lives and navigating the recovery processes. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics and interactions with all ODMHSAS stakeholders.

Starting Salary is $30,000!
- Paid training for certification as Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist
- Salary increases to $34,500 once certified!
- Full compensation range of $44,000 to $57,000 includes base salary, retirement and State paid benefit allowance to help pay for your benefit elections! (Based on the number of covered dependents and additional years of service and certification!
- Shift differentials for working evenings, nights, weekends and holidays!
- Primary Working Hours:
- Evenings 3:30pm to 12am, Nights 11:30pm to 8:00am
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, Demonstrate participation in consumer advocacy or personal knowledge in mental health recovery. Has the ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
Special Requirements:
- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license

About Us: Northwest Center for Behavior Health in Woodward, OK is a community-based center with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse treatment. The inpatient and outpatient services they provide include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups.
