Responsibilities
Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff. Basic office skills including voicemail word processing, spread sheet and other software applications needed to perform job duties. Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries, and medical consultations. Arrange hospital admissions for patients. Compile, record, and maintain medical charts and reports. Greet visitors ascertain the purpose of visit and direct them to the appropriate staff. Performs various types of clinical duties including but not limited to administer injections and apply dressings, suture/staple removal, prepare patients for examinations and at times administer various types of diagnostic testing.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required within 18 months of hire. Newly hired team members with a minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience will be required to complete within 90 days of hire. If a new team member is hired with no Medical Assistant experience than they will have to obtain the certification within 90 days after obtaining the one (1) year of required Medical Assistant experience.
Experience: One (1) to two (2) years continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.
