Overview
The Account Manager/Controller is primarily responsible for preparing accurate, timely financial statements each month including managing the daily financial activities (AR, AP, Accounting, etc.) of the company. They will also be tasked with preparing annual budgets, cash forecasting, and other financial analysis. The Controller will work directly with operations and ownership as an essential member of the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounting staff.
- Work with management team to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Conduct monthly closing activities
- Work with IT to implement and maintain financial systems
- Ensure compliance with governmental agencies
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Generate monthly financial statements
- Report financial results for all companies and divisions
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Stay current with tax laws
- Coordinate annual tax returns with the CPA
- Prepare annual cost reports
Requirements
- Exceptionally organized, self starter, detail oriented, team player and professional attitude.
- Bachelors degree in business management, accounting or finance. CPA Preferred.
- 5 years of supervisory work experience in a finance or accounting field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
