What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant/Associate Professor of Agricultural Communications position at Oklahoma State University?
This is an eleven-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor funded by the Ferguson College of Agriculture (70%) and OSU Ag Research (30%). The successful candidate for this position is expected to provide leadership in the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural communications. In particular, the candidate should have experience in graphic design and / or audio / video production. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program related to the role of visual communications in agriculture, food, the environment, and natural resources. The preferred starting date is July 1, 2025.
This faculty member will (a) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural communications with experience in graphic design and / or audio / video production; (b) develop a research focus related to the role of visual communications in communicating about agriculture, food, the environment, and natural resources; © recruit and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; (d) contribute to the scholarship of the profession through innovative teaching approaches, research, curriculum development, external grants / contracts, and other forms of scholarly effort; and (e) conduct appropriate service activities on and off campus.
