What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor of Sustainable Livestock Production position at Oklahoma State University?
The successful candidate will (a) teach undergraduate and / or graduate courses in sustainable livestock systems and meat, milk, or fiber livestock production management; (b) recruit and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; © contribute to the scholarship of the profession through innovative teaching approaches, scholarly teaching and learning research, curriculum development, external grants / contracts, and other forms of scholarly effort; and (d) build strong, collaborative industry relationships for student internships and careers.
The successful candidate’s research initiatives may include identifying strategies to enhance the efficiency of meat, milk, or fiber production from livestock systems to promote the livelihood, health, and nutrition of communities, while reducing negative environmental impacts, and other innovative ideas. The candidate will be encouraged to seek collaborations with faculty in the department and division that focus on sustainable livestock production systems.
