What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercialization Officer position at Oklahoma State University?
As a Commercialization Officer within the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at The Innovation Foundation at Oklahoma State University (OSU), you will be instrumental in building a rich innovation to commercialization ecosystem at OSU, with corporate partners. The OTC works with OSU faculty and student innovators to recognize, protect, market, and license OSU intellectual property to corporate partners. OSU is a prestigious Carnegie R1, top classification for research universities that only 146 universities out of 5900 across the United States qualify for. You will instrumental in stewarding the commercialization of innovations at OSU that spawn from the vast research programs and expertise that exists at OSU.
In addition, OTC proactively facilitates corporate partnerships in order to match industry need, problem, or opportunity to OSU’s unique research and development skills, capabilities and assets, particularly those within energy, aerospace and advanced mobility, agriculture, and One Health market segments. Those corporate partnerships have the opportunity to produce innovative solutions to those real-world needs, problems, and opportunities, in addition to workforce development opportunities, that generate prosperity in the communities we live in, the state of Oklahoma, and across the world.
