Job Summary:
- Oversee and manage the efficient and professional applications of guest registration, check-in, room assignments, guest folios and checkout.
- Supervise Front Desk Operations to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
-Supervise Front Desk Clerks, Valet Attendants, and Concierge.
- Oversee hotel switchboard/communication to assist guests and solve problems.
- Supervise and monitor group room blocks and contracts to ensure efficient and effective use of hotel inventory.
- Supervise and develop monthly and weekly schedules for front desk clerks.
- Oversee and provide support for School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Front Desk Laboratory and its students.
- Develop and ensure lab requirements determined by HRAD Professor and Lab Coordinator
- Responsible for oversight and maintenance of Property Management System

Position Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Two years of post-secondary education and two years of experience in the hospitality industry with progressive responsibilities and experience.
- Professionalism required in daily contact with hotel guests, OSU administration, faculty, staff, OSU dignitaries, alumni, donors, and students.
- Ability to exhibit tactfulness, friendliness, professionalism with a cooperative attitude in working with a wide host of individuals
- Ability to handle, comprehend, analyze and solve potential problem or situations in an expedient and effective manner to forestall or prevent any possible complications.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with hotel property management system
- Ability to organize and coordinate numerous projects.
- Must be flexible and creative and able to perform under pressure
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures, Hotel Policies, and University Policies and Procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business or related field.
Supervisory experience.
