Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled instructor to join our team as a High Voltage Instructor. This role will involve teaching and mentoring students in the High Voltage Lineman Program, as well as developing and updating course materials and curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses on high voltage lineman training, including day and night classes or distance learning.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide them to administration when appropriate.
- Develop and update course materials and curriculum in conjunction with construction faculty, advisory committee representatives, general education faculty, and technical program faculty.
- Assume daily responsibility of housekeeping and maintenance of classrooms and laboratories.
- Provide tours for prospective students, parents, and other campus visitors.
- Routinely attend and participate in special events, such as graduation, student extra-curricular activities, advisory committee meetings, student move-in day, employee recognition functions, student club activities, field trips, etc.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, or a master's degree preferred. A minimum of five years of industry experience is required, with a proven track record of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Teaching experience in higher education is also preferred.
