What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing/Paramedicine Tutor- 10 month position position at Oklahoma State University?
This position works Monday through Friday, from August 1st to May 31st. It occasionally involves evening sessions to meet student needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Tutoring : Provide students with subject matter tutoring and assistance on challenging concepts in nursing, paramedicine, anatomy, physiology, and chemistry.
- Software Expertise : Maintain a working knowledge of computer software systems used in classes.
- Data Analysis : Utilize data to track tutoring, guide interventions, and monitor effectiveness and student progress.
- Tutoring Sessions : Design individualized and group tutoring sessions to assist students.
- Resource Coordination : Coordinate with instructors to ensure access to up-to-date resources, such as books, syllabi, software, etc.
- Communication : Develop a flow of communication to keep up with the latest requirements and techniques.
- Feedback : Gather feedback for instructors about topics needing frequent tutoring.
- Reporting : Provide feedback to the dean, nurse science program director, and paramedicine program director regarding issues or success stories.
- Documentation : Document ongoing student contact logs via a computerized database.
