Oklahoma State University invites highly qualified candidates to apply for multiple open rank faculty positions in the School of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) to strengthen established research areas and to create new focus areas in engineering, architecture and technology. The School will consider applicants with expertise in any field of industrial engineering and management. Positions will be located at the OSU Stillwater campus or the OSU Tulsa campus.
The School of IEM currently has 17 full-time faculty members, approximately 120 undergraduate students and 170 graduate students, and has an ambitious plan for growth, recognition, and visibility. The school offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in IEM and an MS degree in Engineering and Technology Management (ETM). The baccalaureate program is ABET accredited. Current research thrusts within the school include operations research, data analytics, advanced manufacturing, and human factors engineering. The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology houses seven different engineering schools and the Division of Engineering Technology that encompass both the Stillwater, Oklahoma and Tulsa, Oklahoma campuses. CEAT has about 3400 undergraduate students, 600 graduate students, and 170 full-time faculty. CEAT is home to nationally recognized programs like our MS in ETM, Great Plains Center of Excellence, and is a primary collaborator in research institutes like the Hamm Institute for American Energy and the Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Education. CEAT has several research and instruction dedicated environments such as the EXCELSIOR laboratory for aerospace design, Bert Cooper Structures and Materials Laboratory, Helmerich Research Center, and the state-of-the-art ENDEAVOR instructional interdisciplinary laboratory.
Oklahoma State University (OSU) is a comprehensive land grant university with over 24,000 students on its main campus. OSU has a strong national presence in interdisciplinary programs with strong industry and government ties. As an R1 institution, OSU is home to several research institutes with significant industry partnerships. OSU is home to nine colleges and has a main campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma along with another campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Required Qualifications :
The candidates are expected to have completed their PhD. Although candidates with at least one degree in industrial engineering are preferred, those with degrees in a closely related discipline will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications :
Successful candidates will be expected to develop an externally funded, internationally recognized research program, to excel in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the school and their profession.
