What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Merch Assistant position at Oklahoma State University?
The Retail Merch Assistant is responsible for the data entry and accuracy of the University Store’s course material adoptions and will provide support to all other daily operations of the course materials department to include procurement, returns, inclusive access, digital delivery, rental and buyback. This position will also oversee distribution and collection of course materials to scholarship athletes. Extended hours may be required during peak times of the year including the start of each semester, textbook buyback, inventory and football gamedays.

Required Qualifications:
High School/GED
Two years experience in a college bookstore or large retail store
Familiar with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with extended periods of physical activity is required.
Excellent computer skills
Ability to communicate information concisely and accurately
Be able to read, interpret and apply written information to daily work
Ability to merchandise effectively
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Four years experience in a college bookstore or large retail store
Experience With Ratex Inventory System Strongly Preferred
