The SecurityOfficer position at OSUCOM-CN Tahlequah is responsible for maintaining thesecurity of people, buildings and their contents, preventing break-ins andtheft through guarding and surveillance. The role of Security Officer variesfrom day to day and the individual in the position must be quick-thinking todeal with situations as they arise.
Environmental Hazards :
There is exposure to physical danger, such as :
- Dangerous criminal elements
- Arrest situations
- Mentally deranged persons
- Traffic accidents
- Unruly crowds
- Exposure to disease or hazardous materials during emergency responses
- Various weather and hazardous conditions, which may be unpleasant.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach,stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitivemotions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carryout specific job functions of a medical school educator.
