As a full-time Surgery Patient Care Technician, you will work Monday - Friday, 6 : 30a - 5p, with Thursdays. No weekends or holidays required! This position qualifies for our full-times benefits package and our rewarding quarterly bonuses!
- Please note that this position will clean up operating rooms after surgeries that may have blood, bone, and / or other matter in it. This also requires holding dead weight, i.e. holding a sleeping patient's leg while the team preps it for surgery. This position also focuses on helping transfer patients, wheter it's from one bed to another, or flipping them from their back to their stomach, etc.
A Patient Care Technician holds a safety sensitive position, and performs the housekeeping, transportation, and courier duties for the surgical services area to support optimum patient outcomes.
What’s required of you? High school graduate or equivalent. Basic Life Support certification prior to start date, or class to be taken at OSH within 60 days free of charge.
Do I need experience? No experience required!
Specialty Knowledge Skills : Excellent cognitive, technical, and interpersonal skills required to deliver safe and affective assistance in transporting patients and specimens. Maintain cleanliness of surgical area equipment.
