TRC Taxpayer Representative
Salary- $48,000.00
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Taxpayer Resource Center (TRC) communications team is often the first point of contact for taxpayers seeking information regarding their agency accounts. Representatives on the TRC communications team serve as a subject matter expert regarding Oklahoma tax laws and responsibilities. Communication with taxpayers include emphasis on electronic communications but will also include phone communication and potentially face to face communication.

· Assist taxpayers with all incoming emails, web forms, notices and written correspondence surrounding their tax inquiries.
· Act as liaison between internal divisions and taxpayers to resolve inquiries.
· Provide technical assistance to taxpayers surrounding the use of our operating systems.
· Proactively call taxpayers that need further assistance beyond initial email correspondence to ensure resolution of inquiries timely.
· Interpret and communicate with taxpayers surrounding compliance requirements.
· Research and analyze applicable statues, laws, Oklahoma tax codes, policies, and procedures to address taxpayer inquiries.
· Collaborate with internal divisions on enhancing taxpayer experience through inquiries received.
· Maintain a high level of quality in all communications, including grammar, accuracy, and tone to enhance the taxpayer experience.
· Proactively identify opportunities within individual performance optimization to improve efficiency.
· Achieve and maintain expected KPI’s to meet performance expectations and taxpayer satisfaction rate.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
· Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
· Previous tax knowledge a plus
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Core work hours for the Oklahoma Tax Commission are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. This schedule may require minor flexibility based on the needs of the agency.
Telework may be required based on the needs of the agency, division, and section. If applicable, applicant must be willing and able to BOTH work on-site and telework at an off-site location, generally in the applicant’s home. Applicant must have a secure internet connection and a dedicated telephone (landline) or smart phone device during scheduled working hours.
