QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Quality Control Engineer at Okland Construction, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will collaborate with project teams to implement quality assurance and control processes, conduct inspections, and maintain documentation to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion and implement quality control processes at a project level.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Identify and address quality issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of quality and safety on-site.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, standards, and advancements in quality control methodologies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field (Preferred) or 5 years of relevant work experience with quality certifications.
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in quality control tools and software is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore, Autodesk, or similar tools, for documentation and project tracking.
- Strong understanding of construction codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and testing methodologies relevant to construction.
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in identifying and addressing quality issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety on-site.
