- Supervise all mechanical installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage mechanical crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution and performance.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate project activities and resolve conflicts.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of mechanical installations.
- Implement quality assurance practices to ensure compliance with design documents and industry standards.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting safety meetings and ensuring all personnel are equipped with the necessary safety gear and training.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, inspections, and change orders.
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist in the preparation of cost forecasts and estimates.
- Address and resolve on-site issues promptly, facilitating communication between team members and stakeholders to keep the project on track.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding mechanical work, addressing concerns and providing updates as necessary.
- Oversee the job closeout process, ensuring all mechanical systems are operational and documentation (including O&M manuals) is complete.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of experience in mechanical construction supervision or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with construction codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
- Proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage teams.
- Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to proactively plan for risks to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.
- Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
