We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Computer Vision , Real-Time Image Processing , and Robotics to lead the development of groundbreaking technologies in our seekers, drone, and soldier-borne product lines. As a Level 6 Software Engineer at OKSI, you will spearhead the design and implementation of sophisticated vision and robotics systems, driving innovation and excellence. You will collaborate with top-tier engineers and stakeholders to solve complex challenges, mentor emerging talent, and contribute to projects that have a significant impact on national security and autonomous operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership : Design and architect scalable, high-performance computer vision and real-time image processing systems tailored for seekers, drones, and soldier-borne technologies.
- End-to-End Development : Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to coding, testing, and deployment of mission-critical applications.
- Innovation & Research : Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and robotics. Integrate cutting-edge techniques to enhance product capabilities and maintain OKSI’s competitive edge.
- Performance Optimization : Ensure real-time performance and reliability of image processing algorithms and robotics systems under demanding operational conditions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, data scientists, and product managers to deliver integrated and high-impact solutions.
- Mentorship & Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Quality Assurance : Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, documentation, and testing to ensure robust and maintainable software.
- Problem-Solving : Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues related to computer vision and robotics applications in high-stakes environments.
- Project Management : Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives and mission requirements.
Qualifications
8-10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or principal engineering role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C , Python, and CUDA.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
