Job Description:

We are seeking a Field Supervisor to join our growing team. This leadership role is critical in ensuring that our fiber optic construction projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day field operations for fiber optic installation projects.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Manage and lead field crews, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient performance.
  • Monitor project timelines, track progress, and provide regular updates to project management.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with clients, inspectors, vendors, and internal departments as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and material logs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in utility construction or a related field. Telecommunications (fiber optic installation) experience is preferred but not required—we’re willing to train the right candidate.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate field crews, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work under very little supervision while maintaining accountability and productivity in the field.
  • Performance Under Pressure: Highly organized and able to meet job requests and project deadlines in a timely manner, even in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
  • Change Order Management: Experience in tracking and managing change orders specific to individual projects, ensuring accurate documentation and communication across teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams. Familiarity with project management or field reporting tools is a plus.
  • Safety Knowledge: Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and industry-standard safety practices. OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
  • Blueprint Reading: Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and inspectors.
  • Organizational Ability: Detail-oriented with strong time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities efficiently.
  • Licenses: Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, or other relevant industry certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
