What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bay Area Market Manager position at Ola Sol?
We are looking for someone who has their thumb on the pulse of the Bay Area to represent Ola Sol in the market. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to sell a new product and open a new category simultaneously - you have zero competition!
You will be responsible for achieving volume and distribution goals within your region by partnering and managing our distributor. This position will also be responsible for developing and executing education, brand, and programming strategies. Opportunity to hire & train their own sales team once they’ve established the market.
What you’ll be doing
- Education! Telling the Ola Sol story to reps, retailers, bartenders and drinkers. Creating cocktail programs that are easy to implement and will drive volume. Being an evangelist for agave wine and Ola Sol in particular.
- Working hand in hand with our amazing distributor to open new accounts, drive volume in existing ones, and make sure re-orders keep coming. You are the tip of the spear in terms of introducing Ola Sol to the market.
- Establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base, and contribute to the development of training and educational programs for customers.
- Responsible for making market calls (both on- and off-premise) at a minimum of 4 days per week in market
- Responsible for building and owning relationships through all levels of management with distributor accounts
- Developing cocktail plans and sales strategy for the market that meets company sales goals and profitability
- Create and conduct education & sales presentations and brand building efforts
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
- Assist in developing and implementing monthly sales plans which includes financial, volume, and distribution objectives
- Manage depletion and distribution objectives for the retail channel
- Manage assigned budgets including incentives, travel & entertainment and other departmental expenses.
- Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
- Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies / law
