Job Description :

The role of Business Development within OLA will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, making a substantial impact on our success. Your responsibilities extend beyond prospecting and closing deals. You will be instrumental in gathering invaluable customer intelligence, enabling us to gain deep insights into their needs. Armed with this understanding, you will strategically position our services as invaluable solutions, thereby enhancing our competitive advantage.

Your expertise in navigating the sales cycle will be crucial, as you build strong relationships with clients and skillfully negotiate deals. Your precision in closing deals will contribute to surpassing our revenue targets and driving significant business growth.

In this role, you will report to the Corporate Business Development Manager and work closely with our executive team, fostering collaboration and contributing to our collective success.

Responsibilities :

  • Target Achievement :   Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics, including revenue goals, new client acquisitions, and other key performance indicators.
  • Lead Generation :   Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, and other strategic approaches.
  • Relationship Building :   Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
  • Needs Analysis :   Understand clients' challenges, requirements, and pain points related to O&G chemical applications. Conduct thorough needs assessments to propose tailored solutions.
  • Solution Presentation :   Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that effectively demonstrate the value and benefits of our services, showcasing our expertise and unique selling points.
  • Sales Cycle Management :   Drive the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Market Insights :   Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Provide feedback and market intelligence to internal teams for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration :   Collaborate closely with internal teams, including technical experts, field technicians, lab personnel, finance, and accounting, to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
  • Client Relationship Management :   Foster long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and contract renewals.
  • Professional Representation :   Act as a brand ambassador, attending industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our company and build industry presence.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or 5 years of equivalent sales experience)
  • 3 years of technical sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years specializing in chemical applications
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the O&G industry or related sectors
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical applications, with a chemical degree being an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and coordination skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, sales tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
