Description of the position:
This position is a critical role in improving student achievement of our ELL students in the school setting. The position will work with teachers and the school principal to build teacher capacity in the understanding of research-based instructional practices for ELLs and all students. The position will assist the school with initial enrollment, screening, and placement of students in the ELL program. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching and providing a formative cycle of feedback to collaborative teams. The ELL teacher will demonstrate and model a passion for education and leadership. Additionally, the position will work with small groups and individually with students on language interventions as applicable.
Qualifications:
Kansas teaching license with elementary certification and an ELL/ESOL endorsement required . Salary commensurate with education and experience .
