Founded in 1919 as Phototype, and recently rebranded as the Olberding Brand Family, we are a family company, focused first on caring for people. The Senior Production Artist is responsible for converting and translating customer submitted artwork into a press compatible format. The Senior Production Artist maintains an effective and efficient workflow from the point the artwork is scheduled to the proof stage and maintains direct and open communication with internal client functions and the Olberding team to ensure the final art meets the clients' and printers' needs.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Adapt client’s design intent files to final product graphic printed materials
- Depict final production proofs for customer approval
- Set-up of files for eComm VR (virtual reality) prototyping for consumer studies, across multiple platforms and for our in-house hand making prototyping lab
- Maintain an effective comprehension of calibration, profiling and workflow procedures
- Proofread all work
- Mentor junior team members on design/artwork
- Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures
Qualifications Include:
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
- Knowledge of major printing methods (Flexo, Gravure, Offset)
- Proficient use of Apple operating system including knowledge of business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro and Acrobat)
- 15 years experience in packaging graphics, design and/or prepress
- Consumer product company knowledge or experience
- Graphics production technology background or experience, a plus
