We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team to lead excellence in accounting / financial reporting, data-driven decision making, and transparent financial accountability. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. This role will complete transactional accounting processes, financial reporting, and create operational efficiencies, while ensuring financial systems support our growth and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leading Financial Operations with a Process-First Mindset

  • Execute day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Design and implement scalable accounting processes that minimize manual work and optimize automation, allowing focus on high-value tasks.
  • Support cash flow management, ensuring financial stability and proactive forecasting to support business needs.
  • Partner with HR, Center Success, and Center Development to align financial systems with employee-focused initiatives, such as payroll efficiency and benefits administration.
  • Drive efficiency and accountability by designing workflows that reduce bottlenecks and make financial reporting clear and actionable for all stakeholders.
  • Encourage continuous learning and process improvement, ensuring employees at all levels have access to the financial insights they need to succeed.

2. Data-Driven Decision Making & Financial Transparency

  • Provide real-time financial insights that empower leadership, managers, and employees to make informed decisions.
  • Develop financial dashboards that make complex data simple, allowing teams to easily track performance and optimize operations.
  • Conduct variance analyses, identifying opportunities for operational improvement and cost-saving initiatives without compromising employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, maintaining ethical and transparent financial practices that instill trust across the organization.
  • 3. Supporting Growth & Organizational Development

  • Collaborate with leadership to create financial strategies that align with company culture, growth, and employee success.
  • Develop and refine budgeting processes that empower department heads to plan effectively while maintaining flexibility for innovation.
  • Support expansion efforts, ensuring new locations and teams are onboarded smoothly into financial operations.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring employees understand and embrace financial process improvements.
  • Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or commensurate experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, preferably in a retail, multi-location or healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability to design and implement efficient financial processes that reduce complexity and enhance employee productivity.
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with experience in financial reporting tools and ERP systems (QuickBooks preferred).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for making financial data accessible and actionable for all employees.
  • A process-improvement mindset, with the ability to drive automation and operational efficiency in financial workflows.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for scaling processes and driving business success.
  • Role Requirements

  • In-office preferred (Warsaw, IN), with hybrid / remote potential for top candidates.
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required.
