JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Building Superintendent, the Camp Maintenance staff will represent the Old Colony Y in a positive professional manner resulting in friendly, safe, convenient and courteous environment for members and participants. Through the Camp Maintenance staff, the Middleboro Y and Camp Yomechas participants will receive professional, safe care in a well-maintained and friendly environment. The maintenance staff is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the entire camp grounds.
JOB FUNCTION :
- Program/Department Responsibilities
- Provide friendly courteous service to all members, clients and volunteers of the Y.
- Achieve the highest level of cleanliness by cleaning and/or inspecting areas
- Immediately address all housekeeping issues with appropriate personnel.
- Participate camp clean-up.
- Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility
- Become familiar with camp facilities.
- Remove all trash in all areas.
- Clean litter from camp grounds.
- Rake, trim grass, shrubs, etc.
- Mop and disinfect bath room floors.
- Sweep pavilion and nurse's area
- Ensure that a sanitary healthy environment is maintained
- Be familiar with emergency procedures
- Ensure checklists are completed daily
- Clean bathrooms, sinks, toilets, floor; replace paper supplies.
- Inter-Divisional/community/Volunteer Responsibility
- Provide friendly, courteous service to all campers, staff, members, clients and volunteers.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by illustrating pride in my job, enthusiasm and cooperation with co-workers.
