Job Description
The Clinician is responsible for the overall implementation, assessment, and administration of quality casework services for the Pittsfield Support Center. S/he will display and encourage the character traits of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility in the fulfillment of all job duties which include:
Ensuring that all casework services are consistent with the operating policies of the OCCS, Office of Community Corrections and other regulatory agencies.
Ensuring that a copy of all intake materials is placed in client files following intake to the Center; including copies to the appropriate supervising agency (e.g. Probation, Parole, DOC, Sheriff’s Department).
Completing client intake assessment; perform assessment tools (e.g. RNR, SASSI); and develop treatment plan for each assigned client. Ensure that the treatment plan is reviewed monthly.
Completing weekly Treatment Progress notes on assigned residents.
Facilitating both virtual and in-person groups and/or classes (as assigned).
Making necessary referrals to outside agencies or departments as needed.
Creating an after care / discharge plan for each client assigned.
Participating in weekly Clinical and Multi-disciplinary meetings.
Keeping client data and information updated in the system (Client Information Management System).
Assigning and tracking completion of CBI’s (Client Behavioral Interventions) as needed.
Attending all staff meetings.
Attending all OCC meetings as assigned.
Attending all trainings as assigned.
To enhance the overall operation of the program and support teamwork, the Clinician will accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required in counseling or related field
Good oral and written presentation skills
Experience working with adults, at-risk populations, or offenders is helpful
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point
Two years supervised work experience in case management or counseling
LADC or CADC preferred.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend and walk during the work day
