What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educator position at Old Colony YMCA?
The Barnstable County Community Justice Support Center is actively seeking to fill the full time position of Adult Educator. This position includes one evening a week.
Ideal candidate will have experience with the justice involved population. Preferred candidate will also have the ability to run groups virtually / in person, and additionally work one on one with participants. Position requires the ability to assess for educational ability as well as assist individuals in preparing / taking the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).
Experience facilitating groups in adult basic education and lifeskills a plus!
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
2 years minimum teaching experience
MTEL or ABE licensure preferred
Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds and experiences
