Join the Lawrence Community Justice Support Center overseeing a team of staff dedicated to supporting justice-involved individuals to reduce the likelihood of recidivism!
Requirements:
Program/Department Responsibility:
Works with OCC in supervising the daily operations of the Center.
Implements programs and services within the Center in accordance with statutes and existing policy and procedure.
Supervises on site staff.
On site coordination and cooperation with other on site service providers which may include probation officers, parole officers, program monitors and OCC.
Provides direct clinical services to Center participants when necessary.
Performs Center intakes, assessments and orientations.
Prepares required reports and statistics.
Participates in ongoing working group meetings.
Assists with the evaluation, modifications and expansion of services and programs of the Center.
Assists with the development of new approaches to meet the changing needs of the Center.
Provides administrative support and coordination of sanctions, services and activities of the Center.
Coordinates activities of the Center with various courts, collaborating criminal justice agencies and private community agencies to enhance service delivery to participants.
Collaborates with OCC management for the maintenance or further development of a Center handbook, participant manual and operations manual.
Provides required reports to the Regional/Program Manager.
Communicates with the Regional/Program Manager on an ongoing basis.
Works within the approved contract budget and is responsible to document all expenditures.
Performs community relations activities, participating in conferences, panels and other approved community planning activities in collaboration with OCC.
Performs other duties assigned by the Regional/Program Manager in accordance with the standards of OCC.
Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor following OCY policies.
Attend required training sessions and maintain certifications.
Collection and documentation of urine screens as needed.
Works in concert with Organizational Leader to ensure contract compliance.
Supervision of Personnel:
Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate staff at the Center.
Supervise college interns and volunteers.
Fiscal Responsibility:
Budget management for the Center.
Adhere to all fiscal policies and procedures such as petty cash, purchase orders, vouchers and employee expense.
Assist in the development of the Center budget.
Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility:
Maintain upkeep and cleanliness and ensure the security of the Center.
Maintain daily upkeep and cleanliness of respective office area.
Essential Job Function:
Ability to hire, train and supervise direct care and secretarial staff.
Ability to communicate with OCC, probation officers, parole officers.
Ability to drive a car and van.
Ability to communicate with program participants and community resources in person and by telephone.
Daily attendance and scheduling flexibility to include working nights.
Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibility:
Actively participate in the Old Colony Y's Annual Campaign.
Offer support in crisis situations to all Y programs.
Make presentations to outside community groups including schools, colleges, agencies and organizations.
Serve on assigned committees.
