Position:1st Shift Stacker
Days: Monday - Friday
Pay: $19.90/Hourly
Hours: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stacker to join our team. The Stacker will be responsible for neatly stacking filled cases onto skids or pallets, ensuring proper formation and alignment with assigned pack lines. The role involves setting up and changing box erectors, supplying pack stations with necessary materials, setting up and maintaining printer carts, and using pallet jacks to transport skids or pallets to the warehouse.
Major Job Duties:
- Stack the correct number of products in the proper arrangement onto skids or pallets.
- Monitor for damaged products or equipment malfunctions to ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
- Keep packaging lines stocked with cartons, tape, and other materials.
- Follow supervisor instructions and report any quality or quantity issues.
- Set up and verify case label printers for scheduled production items to ensure accuracy.
- Set up and adjust box erectors as needed.
- Prepare and clean printer carts.
- Maintain a clean work area, free from debris.
- Adhere to company rules and policies.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand packaging materials and schedules.
- Strong communication skills for maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lift up to 50 lbs safely and properly.
- Obtain and maintain pallet jack certification.
- Demonstrate dependable attendance.
- Operate a handheld scanning device for label entries and inventory scanning.
- Basic skills in math, reading, writing, and communication.
- Reach and extend arms continuously, both below shoulder level and overhead.
- Bend at the knees, waist, or hips up to 50% of the workday.
- Perform repetitive stacking of cases weighing up to 13 pounds for extended periods.
- Move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for up to 8 hours a day.
- Pull and push palatalized loads with a pallet jack in various plant areas.
- Work safely on potentially slippery floors.
- Commit to a 40-hour work week, with potential daily overtime and weekend work as scheduled.
