Description
A Bellman creates a great first impression for guests, greets and opens doors, assists with guest vehicles, gives property tours, and assists in front desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform check-ins, property orientations, check-outs, luggage pulls, and amenity deliveries
- Ensure entrances are staffed to company standards
- Ensure guest amenity items and public areas are stocked and presentable (champagne, butler’s pantry, golf carts, lodge lawn, etc.)
- Prepare for daily check-ins by reading arrival and amenity reports and being aware of room moves and expected VIPs
- Upkeep of bellmen’s items such as radios and earpieces
- Complete shift checklists
- Pick up and put away front desk warehouse orders
- Ensure the bell closet is stocked and tidy
- Has knowledge of the town of Highlands, Old Edwards Hospitality Group properties hours of operation, in-house and upcoming group events, and transportation log
- Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is required at all times
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the front desk supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous work experience preferred, but not required.
- Hands-on experience with office machines (computers, fax, printers, etc.), thorough knowledge of customer service, multitasking, organizational and problem-solving skills, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
- English (oral and written), second language helpful but not required, customer service and problem resolution oriented
- Basic knowledge of computer use helpful
- Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Must have ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- The employee is regularly required to stand for periods of time, walk the property, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
