$250 Sign-on bonus (Conditions Apply)
The Spa Attendant is responsible for serving all Spa guests, giving world class tours of the facility to Spa guests, ensuring guests’ comfort level and cleanliness of guest areas.
Responsibilities
- Greet each guest in a warm, welcoming, and genuine manner. Use guest’s name appropriately.
- Be friendly, helpful and smile; be courteous to all clients, guests, and co-workers; and be professional
- Have complete knowledge of all spa menu items, packages, group functions and special promotions. Have knowledge of product ingredients, benefits, and application
- Adhere to all Old Edwards Inn and Spa departmental policies and procedures
- Present a well-groomed, professional appearance. You must be in full uniform while on property or at a work-related event
- Be punctual and prepared for your day. Adhere to posted schedule and make any schedule requests in writing to the Spa Director at least two weeks in advance
- Participate in all spa activities including staff meetings, educational events, workshops, inventory, or promotions. Have knowledge of Spa product ingredients, benefits, and application
- Review itinerary with each guest and notify the therapist of guest’s arrival
- Give information regarding spa procedures, facilities, timetables, and policies of special functions
- Maintain all Spa Guest areas and provide world class guest service to all Spa guests, both internal and external
- Clean slippers, dispose of dirty laundry, assist therapists in stocking clean linen, restock bar, and clean spa dishes
- Time off should be requested 30 days in advance and submitted in writing to the Spa Director
- Assist guests as a need requires. Always look for ways to go a step beyond and achieve “WOW”
- Assist Spa team as need requires. Refer relevant operational information to Spa Supervisors and Directors and to the upcoming shift
- Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is required at all times
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Spa Supervisor, Spa Operations Manager, Assistant Spa Director, and Spa Director
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or spa-related role is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment and present professional courtesy at all times.
- Bright, friendly, helpful, and approachable with all guests and team members.
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to complete instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds less frequently, walk on a regular basis, talk, see, and hear. Occasional kneeling, crouching, or bending may be required.
- Schedules must be flexible, and working on holidays and weekends may be required based on the needs of the operation.
- The work environment includes frequent interpersonal exchanges with guests in person and over the phone, often in a quieter-than-normal noise level setting.
