Overview
The Old Edwards Club has a restaurant featuring casually elegant farm-to-table food and has sweeping, open-air views of a Tom Jackson-designed golf course. Club members and guests of Old Edwards Hospitality properties have access to the clubhouse to enjoy lunch, dinner and special events throughout the season.
Job Summary
The Club Food and Beverage Supervisor oversees all service aspects of Old Edwards Club including set-up and preparation of the dining room and bar and its daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with training and coaching of staff members on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.
- Create concepts and department innovation, while focusing on detail, quality and customer service
- Consistently check of Food and Beverage quality, restaurant services and Plate
- presentation
- Liaise on an on-going basis with Restaurant Manager to ensure all Members and Guests needs and requirements will be met
- Provide quick service for last minute changes
- Handling guest issues & requests
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and preparation is required
- A degree in hospitality or business management is preferred
- Previous supervisory experience is desired
- Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English
- The ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
- Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to
handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays
- Essential duties require long periods of standing and walking as well as frequent reaching and kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting and moving objects 50 lbs or more
- Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events often taking place in the elements in all four seasons
