Your Role
As a Credit Analyst you will analyze credit information and conduct credit investigations related to lending to establish the financial condition of potential borrowers. You will prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions for use by loan officers, senior management and loan committee.
This is a single incumbent position.
- Obtains loan request information from commercial lender or borrower to analyze credit information, financial statements and other related information pertaining to the loan.
- Researches background documentation and reviews personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Analyzes financial information and prepares the preliminary analysis for the lender.
- Requests and obtains financial statements on existing borrowers.
- Reviews and prepares written analysis, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions. Prepares loan memorandum for presentation to lenders and/or loan committees.
- Spread financial statements using Sageworks software as requested.
- Identify loan policy exceptions and update the tracking report monthly.
- Responsible for completing the smaller and less complex credit proposals and reviews.
- Completes annual reviews of existing borrowers in order to meet department/ bank goals.
- Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
- Remain compliant with bank guidelines, policies, procedures, regulatory and BSA requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient computer skills, accuracy, flexibility, ability to handle high stress situations, regular and predictable attendance, exercise discretion and good judgment, follow instructions

Requirements
- Banking experience preferred.
- Excellent financial analytical skills with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong client-service skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance.
- Excellent knowledge of personal/business financial statements and tax returns.
