What are the responsibilities and job description for the WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST -- Temporary Part-time Position position at Old Major Market, LLC?
Old Major is an Indianapolis-based artisanal food company that specializes in the production of sausages and meats. We proudly work with Indiana farmers that utilize sustainable farming practices and produce animal protein free of antibiotics and hormones.
The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the warehouse and storefront. This includes product inventorying, storage, and distribution by fulfilling orders through all Old Major established channels of distribution. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Maintains a clean and organized work environment at all times including stocking storefront shelves and maintaining an organized freezer inventory.
* Picks and packs product for farmers markets and special events.
* Coordinates movement of finished product from production kitchen, or external suppliers to appropriate storage and keeps all associated records.
* Runs local deliveries and errands as directed.
* Other tasks as assigned by management.
Must be reliable and able to work as part of a team. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be 18 or older and have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Requires strong organizational and time management skills. Needs to be flexible and willing to adapt as priorities change. Prior experience in warehouse operations, retail, or order fulfillment is a plus but not required.
