Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring quality and consistency while delivering outstanding customer service. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the café's welcoming atmosphere and supporting daily operations.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including the preparation stations, dining area, and equipment.
• Assist with food handling and preparation as needed, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Experience

• Previous experience in a café or food industry setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly clover or similar cash register systems is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and a passion for helping others.
• Basic knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial for maintaining safety standards in food preparation.
