Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing main responsibility will be to provide operational and administrative oversight, communication, and coordination of all patient cases and ensuring care and services are assigned and delivered by clinical personnel appropriately as well as complying with established in-house, state, and federal regulations. Both administrative and clinical skills are necessary to ensure that all services provided are efficient and meet the expected quality of Old Mill Rehabilitation while maintaining an established budget. It is a fast-paced and multifaceted position but fulfilling when operations are running smoothly, and you can see that reflected in quality of patient care and satisfaction of staff. Along with patient care oversight, the Assistant Director of Nursing will use their critical thinking to provide direction and support to all staff to promote patient quality of life through compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or other compact state.
- Two (2) years of registered nursing in a transitional care unit/ skilled nursing facility or clinical experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of registered nursing management or administration experience in a transitional care unit/ skilled nursing facility or clinical experience preferred.
- Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR.
- Capability to work independently and manage time effectively while demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order to get to and from work in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
