Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements, all while providing outstanding customer service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Toast POS, to manage guest flow and orders efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance guest services and overall restaurant operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, particularly Toast POS or similar platforms.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and helping guests feel welcome.
