About Old Pro Golf

For 60 years Old Pro Golf has been providing quality attractions to the OC area. We are a locally owned company that offers miniature golf and arcade amusements.

With 6 courses at 4 locations, including 2 indoor/outdoor locations, and operating 365 days a year, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Supervisor to lead our team of maintenance technicians and craftspeople.

Our attractions include kinetic obstacles, water and fog features, and large sculptural elements, just to name a few items. Including the scenic attractions, there is plenty of natural landscaping, carpentry, painting and repair work to go around. And, of course, there is the day to day facilities and course maintenance work that keeps our attractions looking excellent for our customers!

The right candidate will have experience in managing crews on site as well as experience planning and managing projects of larger scope. Though a Supervisor role, the right candidate will work alongside all technicians to see jobs completed to the best of their ability. Everybody at OPG, from the owner on down pitches in to the get the work done!

The right candidate is also organized and able to efficiently use computers, smart phones and/or Tablets ad other technology in order to communicate and plan efficiently.

Finally, the maintenance supervisor will have proven ability within a specific field of construction or trade that we regularly engage in. Electrical, plumbing, landscaping, carpentry, painting and sculpture, welding and masonry are all trades regularly engaged in at OPG.

This is an Upper Management role inside of Old Pro Golf and reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule maintenance technicians across locations to ensure adequate coverage at all locations and maintain priority lists for daily tasks and long term projects as appropriate.
• Quality Control: Ensure all technicians are performing daily tasks to a high level and are in excellent condition for our customers.
• Handle all hiring, firing and disciplinary issues for technicians.
• Maintain all storage and shop spaces in a clean, well stocked and functioning manner.
• Inspect and maintain all courses and building facilities and ensure that all equipment is safe and working optimally.
• Work with and schedule sub-contractors as necessary.
• Drive company truck and trailer to deliver materials/equipment to job sites as needed.
• Use a smart phone to communicate on internal chat client to manage notes from Shift managers.
• Create rough budgets and timelines
• Work and communicate with Sub Contractors as needed
• Ability and confidence to use non-specialized tools and work related equipment including but not limited to power tools, leaf blowers , power washers, pallet jacks, etc
• Experience with heavy equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts and similar machinery is a plus
• Experience in any sort of CAD drafting is a plus

Qualifications

• College Diploma or 4 years in Construction, Project, Production or Event Management
• Valid Drivers license
• General understanding of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and the ability to perform light duty tasks within each field.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• The ability to work alone or on a team.
• The ability to use a smart phone and communicate regularly on company provided internal chat client.
• The ability to identify, troubleshoot and be solutions oriented in relations to problems/tasks at hand.
